Anna Schmidt immigrated to the United States with her parents in 1873. The family moved to several parts of the midwest before settling in Covington, KY where her father became a brew master at one of the many local breweries. her father's job provided enough money for Anna to attend high school and she managed to get a job in the office at the Johnson Millworks. There she met Joseph Reichmann, the man she would eventually marry.
After their marriage, Anna soon became pregnant with their first child (Joseph) and quit her job to raise her family.
In 1936 she became ill with what appeared to be tuberculosis. After a time, her condition worsened and she was admitted into St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Covington where she died.
