Mary Schultz

Mother: Anna Reichmann

Grandma Mary was the 2nd child of Joseph and Anna Reichmann. As a child Mary loved to read books and to go with her father when he road horses on a neighboring farm. She attended school at St. Matthew's through the 8th grade and then worked for a few years as a seamstress. In 1912 she met John Schultz and married him a year later. Together they had four children, one of whom, Ruth, is my mother.

Mary stayed home to raise her children but often did sewing for neighbors to earn some additonal money for the family. She became ill with cancer in 1952 and died the next year.
